¡Hola!

Hello! How has your week been? I hope it has been great! Mine has been a little bit busy since I have a trip very soon and I've been making my luggage, and getting ready this blog update which will be about how to make rubber stamps.

A few weeks ago I made a stamp with my new logo and decided to take photos to create this entry for you. Below each image I'll be explaining the tutorial step by step; maybe some other time I'll make a detailed picture tutorial or maybe some video tutorial ;3

★ Step 1: The material: an eraser, mechanical pencil (or sharpened pencil), an Xacto and the image with the design. If the image is printed we must remark the design with the pencil.

★ Step 2: Having the image ready, we'll place the paper over the eraser; then we need to press it carefully making sure not to move the paper, scraping above the paper with the help of the back of the pencil to make sure the graphite is now in the eraser.

★ Step 3: If the image on the eraser is faint we can draw it again with the pencil directly into the eraser so it'll guide us more easily when we cut.

★ Step 4: Now comes the fun part! We take the Xacto and carefully begin to cut "inside out" all the way around. We must pay attention to do it from the inside to the outside to keep the base of the stamp.

★ Step 5: Once we have removed the excess of eraser, it's recommended to test it with ink on a paper and adjust the parts that we don't like until we're satisfied with the result.

★ Paso 6: Y~ ¡Hemos completado nuestro sello!

★ Step 6: And we have finished our stamp! Now we can use it to decorate cards, notes, notebooks, labels, and many more things. This is very simple to make and the materials are available to everyone. Next week I'll post another mini tutorial in which I'll use this stamp with the "Koori Style" logo.

Have a nice week
