Hola! Ahora que pude organizar todo para varias publicaciones vengo a mostrarles el 'unboxing' y una mini reseña de la máquina de coser Brother SE425. Debo admitir que antes de comprar algo, sobre todo electrónicos, buscó en Internet reseñas para tomar una mejor decisión. La SE425, desde que leí una reseña, se me hizo una buena opción ya que quería una máquina con precio accesible, que contara con lo básico además de un par de características más que me ayudaran a seguir aprendiendo y avanzando en diseño, confección, y manualidades.

Yendo al punto de esta entrada damos inicio. La caja era más grande de lo que esperaba ya que tiene varios aditamentos y esta muy bien protegida con tapas de unicel.


Al abrirla nos topamos inmediatamete con los cables de corriente y USB, hilo blanco para bordar, carretes, una funda, el pedal y una bolsa para portar las piezas que vienen, desde pies de coser y agujas, hasta el aditamento para hacer ojales; en las fotos siguientes pueden ver más a detalle todas estas piezas que incluye la máquina SE425.


Al remover la primer tapa de unicel nos encontramos con la máquina de coser y el aditamento para bordar junto con los manuales (en mi caso venían tanto en inglés como en español), un CD de instalación, otro CD con diseños para bordar y un manual para el bordado con su guía.


Al probar por primera vez la máquina fui siguiendo los pasos del manual los cuales están excelentemente detallados para un fácil seguimiento; enhebrar el hilo fue muy sencillo, al igual que rellenar carretes. La SE425 cuenta con 67 puntadas para coser y 70 diseños para bordar. Además de los 100+ diseños que vienen en el CD o los diseños que puedes descargar directamente de la página web (iBroidery.com), algunos son gratis y algunos de paga. Incluso podemos diseñar e importar por medio del cable USB diseños propios! :D

Con la pantalla táctil podemos seleccionar las distintas puntadas, ademas de modificar su largo y ancho; se puede automatizar el remache y cortar el hilo automáticamente. Apenas he utilizado en un 40% mi máquina y debo decir que estoy muy satisfecha; aún debo probar a fondo todas las puntadas, alfabetos e intentar hacer bordados propios.


A continuación les muestro unas pruebas de las puntadas más básicas en las cuales le moví al ancho y largo. Estoy ansiosa de hacer mis propios diseños para bordarlos en prendas y manualidades ♥

Hi! Today it's time for the unboxing and mini review for the sewing machine Brother SE425. Most of the time before I buy something, especially electronics, I look some reviews in order to make a better decision. Since I read about the SE425 I thought it was a good choice because I was looking for something affordable with a lot of useful features.

To begin with the review, the box was bigger than I expected as it has several attachments and it's well protected with styrofoam.

When we open the box we can see the power and USB cables, white embroidery thread & bobbins, the pedal and a bag carrying the small pieces like the sewing foots, needles, the attachment for buttonholes, etcetera; you can see all these accesories included in the SE425 in the pictures above.

Removing the first styrofoam cover we find the sewing machine, embroidery attachment and the manuals (in my case they come in both: English and Spanish), an installation CD and another CD with embroidery designs and the embroidery quick guide.

When I tested the machine for the first time I followed the detailed and easy to follow steps in the manual; threading the needle was very simple. The SE425 has 67 stitches and 70 embroidery designs. In addition to 100+ designs that come in the CD and also you can download more designs at the web page (iBroidery.com). We can even design and import via the USB cable our own designs! :D

The machine has a touch screen where we can select the stitches and modify its length and width, also we can automatically cut the thread. I have just used 40% my machine and I must say I'm very satisfied with it; I still have to thoroughly test all stitches, alphabets and try to make my own embroidery designs.

I tested some of the most basic stitches. It's great to be able to add some small new details into old clothes, I can't wait to make my own designs to embroider garments and crafts ♥
